Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information SitePulse ("SitePulse", "we", "us") collects when you use our website, builder and hosting service at yoursitepulse.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@yoursitepulse.com and we'll explain.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account details — your name and email address, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.
• Content you create — the business details, text, images and pages you add or generate while building your site or store.
• Enquiries — if you submit a contact or free-redesign form, we keep the name, email, phone, business name and message you send so we can reply.
• Billing details — payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number; we keep only a customer/subscription reference and your plan status.

Information we generate or import for you

• Imported site content — when you paste a website or store link, we fetch that page's public content (such as your logo, brand colours, photos, products and public reviews) to rebuild your site. We only fetch pages and stores you point us to.
• Connected platforms — if you connect a store (e.g. Shopify) or a site (e.g. WordPress), we access it using the token you authorise, to import content or publish your design at your request (see section 5).

Information collected automatically

• Basic technical logs — such as IP address, browser type and timestamps, used to keep the service secure and reliable and to prevent abuse.
• Essential storage — we use the minimum browser storage needed to run the service (for example, to keep you signed in). We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking pixels.

2. How we use your information

• To build, publish, host and maintain your website or store, and to make the edits you request.
• To process your subscription payments and manage your plan.
• To respond to your enquiries and provide support.
• To keep the service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.
• To improve our product and, where the law allows, to send you service updates. We rely on your consent, our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in running the service as the legal bases for this.

3. AI processing

SitePulse uses AI to generate and edit your site, images and videos. When you use these features, the content you submit (such as your business description, an uploaded photo, or a URL) is sent to our AI providers to produce the result. These providers act as our processors and are not permitted to use your content to independently market to you. We describe them in the table below.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers we need to run SitePulse, each bound to protect it:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of SitePulse, our users or the public.

5. If you install our Shopify app

Our Shopify app lets you publish a SitePulse-designed theme to your own Shopify store. If you install it:

• We access your store domain and an access token that you authorise, used only to read your products and to create or update a theme when you ask us to publish.
• We do not request, access or store your customers' personal data.
• When you uninstall the app — or if Shopify sends a shop-redact request — we delete the stored access token for your store.
• We honour Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact). Because we hold no customer data, there is nothing to return or erase for customer requests beyond confirming receipt.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. If you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we remove it within a reasonable period, except where we must keep certain records (for example, payment and tax records) to meet legal obligations.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR and California's CCPA), you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• correct inaccurate data;
• export a copy of your data;
• ask us to delete your data;
• object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these, email hello@yoursitepulse.com. We will not charge you or discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

8. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, and encrypted backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe and to fix issues quickly.

9. Children

SitePulse is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries outside your own. Where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) are used to protect your information.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know.
